Jared makes certain each of our clients knows he has clearly heard their most important thoughts and concerns about their future. He leads them through difficult discussions and helps them, for example, to discuss and define what their vision of retirement looks like and asks each spouse to describe what they think their retirement should look like. For many couples, this may be the first time they have ever had this kind of conversation, enabling them to think about the possibilities and build that vision together.
Originally from the Northumberland, Point Township community, Jared grew up as a member of the 4th generation of Furmano Foods, Inc. He graduated from The Pennsylvania State University and started his financial services career with AIG SunAmerica Securities in 2001 in the Pittsburgh area. In 2003, he moved to Richmond, VA and in just two years was able to open an office, Creative Financial Designs. It was during this time in Richmond that Jared met his beautiful wife, Tracy. In 2006 they returned to Pennsylvania to join Koss Financial Group, now Tower Wealth Partners.
Jared and Tracy reside in Lewisburg with their four children—Alivia, Jack, Logan, and Meredith. Jared Currently serves as the vice president of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Penn State Alumni Chapter, and also a deacon at Reformed Baptist Church of Lewisburg. Jared is an avid fan and supporter of Penn State and enjoys all sports, especially golf, football and basketball.

Why work with a CFP
Most people think all financial planners are “certified,” but this isn’t true. Just about anyone can use the title “financial planner.” Only those who have fulfilled CFP Board’s rigorous requirements can call themselves a CFP® professional.
CFP® professionals are held to strict ethical standards. What’s more, a CFP® professional must acquire several years of experience related to delivering financial planning services to clients and pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam before they can call themselves a CFP® professional.
Financial planning is a dynamic process. Your financial goals may evolve over the years due to shifts in your lifestyle or circumstances such as an inheritance, career change, marriage, house purchase or a growing family. As you begin to consider how best to manage your financial future, you should feel confident knowing that with a CFP® professional, you’re working with someone committed to providing the high standardzzz of financial planning.
CFP® Certification Requirements: The Four E’s
As a final step to certification, CFP® practitioners agree to abide by a strict code of professional conduct, know as CFP Board's Code of Ethics and professional responsibility, which sets forth their ethical responsibilities to public, clients and employers. CFP also performs a background check during this process, and each individual must disclose any investigations and legal proceedings related to their professional or business conduct.
Ongoing certification requirements
Once certified, CFP® practitioners are required to miantain technical competence and fulfill ethical obligations. Every tow years, they must complete a minimum 30 hours of continuing eduction to stay current with developments in the financial planning profession and better serve clients. Two of these hours are spent studing or disussing CFP board's Code of Ethics or Practice standards. In addition to the biennial continuing education requirement, all CFP® practitioners voluntarily disclose any publi, civil, criminal or disciplinary action that may have been taken against them during the previous two years as part of the renewal process

There are hundreds of credentials in the financial services marketplace—with varying degrees of credibility— creating an alphabet soup of convoluted acronyms and information overload. So why should you work with a CIMA professional? Not all financial credentials are created equal, and very few meet the high standards of being accredited by a third party.

- Demonstrate at least three years of broad experience in the field of investment management consulting or financial services by the completion of certification.
- Pass an extensive background check and qualification examination.
- Complete an education program at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, or The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
- Successfully pass a comprehensive certification examination.
- Agree to adhere to an ethical code of professional responsibility and to complete 40 hours of continuing education every two years, including two hours of ethics continuing education.
